Feel free to drop by and visit – 75 Melville St. Elora, Ontario N0B 1S0

The Elora Environment Centre is a not-for-profit organization focused on providing leadership in community-based environmental initiatives for both urban and rural communities. We are a registered charity and a founding member of Green Communities Canada.

We have experience in:

  • energy efficiency
  • greenhouse gas reduction
  • sustainable transportation
  • water efficiency and safety
  • urban tree stewardship
  • environmental education
  • promoting sustainable lifestyles

It all began in 1993 with an active group of forward-thinking citizens who had a vision of making the village of Elora a greener and healthier place to live.  Since then this vision has expanded to many communities throughout south-central and south-western Ontario.

We specialize in home energy evaluations ( formerly operating under the name REEP - Residential Energy Efficiency Project) and we have been carrying out home energy evaluations since 1997 when the federal government launched its pilot program.

Our Strengths:

Our experience and expertise are two of our strengths. As a non-profit organization we can offer independent and unbiased advice with a clear dedication and commitment to the environment.
Our partnerships in the communities where we are active is also something we are very proud of and grateful for. As part of the Green Communities Canada alliance, we receive the wide support of municipalities, local businesses, utilities and citizens groups.

We pride ourselves on having very friendly and knowledgeable staff ready to answer questions and assist you, so we encourage you to contact us!
